The work '1966, Monument 4 those who have been killed in ambush (for P.K. who reminded me about death) red fluorescent light 8ft (wide) x 6 ft (deep) 244cm x 183cm' is a project based on a Dan Flavin work of the same title. It deals with the contamination between informative images and direct sensual experience.

It consists of a threedimensional model of an installationshot of a Dan Flavin work, found on the web. The model was not rebuild after the original work, but after the installationshot (the photograph used to give the viewer an idea of what the work would have looked like if he would have seen it installed in the gallery). The model was reconstructed into my appartment and invaded its environment with red light.

It was made for the exhibition ‘Informal’ on or-bits.com.
